My 10-year-old mattress was getting a little hard. I used to wake up with a mild back pain every morning. So I thought I’d get a mattress topper and a pad. I bought this Simmons pad first, and I decided to start using it until I found a topper I liked. But now, I don’t think I need a topper (maybe later I’ll get one just to try). This pad has changed my mattress completely. It isn’t hard anymore, it’s very soft, and I don’t wake up with a back pain anymore. I bought a Queen size and it’s exactly the size of the mattress. Sometimes it shifts to one size, about half an inch or less, but it doesn’t bother me. It had an old smell when we got it, but after washing it, it was fine. By the way, it requires a front-loading washer.

This is the second one of these I’ve bought. It really adds a nice cushy layer to your mattress–even if you already have a pillow top on the mattress. The elastic sides easily fit even really thick mattresses. Well worth the cost.Simmons Beautyrest Mattress Makeover Jacquard California King Mattress Pad

I purchased this Simmons Jacquard Mattress Pad for a brand new firm mattress that I recently purchased. I will not go overboard and say that this added a whole level of comfort for me, but it did add some cushion and softness to my mattress.
The Jacquard print looks beautiful on a bare mattress but who sees this anyway when it’s covered? lol The stretch material completely covers my mattress but mine is 16 inches deep. The pad was stiff out of the package and it took a couple of days for the entire pad to settle and stretch out fully over my mattress. I purchased the Queen size on Amazon clearance price which I thought should have been 12-15% less but nevertheless this pad is a good buy.
Recommended for those who want to soften up a firm mattress without any sagging involved.
